Everyone Matters: Eliminating Dehumanizing Practices in Physical Education

Recently, discussions regarding how to create a positive school climate where all can be successful has come the forefront. Healthy schools support student learning, well-being, time, space active, and opportunities for social emotional growth. However, host of numerous trends suggest that is becoming increasingly hostile towards students who are from immigrant, LBGTQ, ethnic minority groups. What often seen as disrespectful behavior toward these in fact actions more accurately defined dehumanization. This article overviews practice dehumanization, implications introduces proactive strategies promote success students.
